Alec & Lexi's DoubleTree Bay City Wedding
On Saturday, October 24, 2026, I DJed Alec and Lexi's wedding reception at the DoubleTree by Hilton Bay City - Riverfront. About 250 guests filled the ballroom, and this crowd came ready to celebrate. Here are a few of my favorite moments from the night.
The grand introductions
Alec and Lexi put real thought into their grand entrance. Every pair in the bridal party had its own song, so each introduction was its own little moment. The list ran from "Milkshake" and "Shut Up and Dance" to "Raise Your Glass" and "Super Bass."
Then I introduced Mr. & Mrs. Bergman for the first time, and they walked in to "Temperature" by Sean Paul. That was a fun way to kick off the night.
The dances and Sie Leben Hoch
Their first dance was "Heaven" by Callum Scott. Right after that, they cut the cake to "Marry You" by Bruno Mars. Later in the evening, Lexi danced with her dad to "Half the Man," and Alec danced with his mom to "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts.
Once the parent dances were done, it was time for "Sie Leben Hoch." It's a German celebration song for the newlyweds, and I always love it when a family brings a tradition like this into the reception. It's a great way to get the whole room cheering for the couple.
Ending the night in cow outfits
Alec and Lexi asked for 90s and current dance music, and the dance floor stayed busy well into the night. At one point, Alec and Lexi were lifted up over the crowd.
Then, near the end of the night, Alec and Lexi came out in cow outfits and hit the dance floor together. It was one of my favorite moments of the night.
Lighting and the photo booth
Uplighting gave the ballroom a soft blue glow. You can see it in the first dance photo at the top of this post. The DJ OC photo booth was set up for guests too, with custom photo strips that read "Alec & Lexi 10.24.2026."
A few days after the wedding, Alec left a review on The Knot:
"Best decision we made for our wedding. Andy was fantastic and kept the party going. He was very professional and fun to work with. I highly recommend him to anyone!!!"
